Haulotte equipment to be tested using hydrogen energy

Haulotte, L’Horme, France, has entered into a partnership with Bouygues Energies & Services, which will focus on using hydrogen energy to fuel lifting equipment. Bouygues Energies & Services will test a Haulotte machine equipped with a fuel cell system under real conditions on several of its construction sites for one year.

The company also will be in charge of studying the hydrogen supply ecosystem for the construction sites.

The partnership aims to confirm the technical feasibility of using hydrogen technology in the construction sector to provide a low-carbon, zero-emission solution in response to climate, environmental and public health issues. Haulotte is exploring solutions for the complete decarbonization of its future people-lifting equipment.
