First Place Rental acquires Aide Rental & Sales

First Place Rental of Oswego, Ill., has added two new locations to its equipment rental company with the June 24, 2022, purchase of Aide Rental & Sales, South Chicago Heights, Ill., and Highland, Ind., which has been owned by the Trusgnich family since 1965.

All Aide Rental team members were asked to remain on staff to facilitate an easy transition for the communities of Chicago Heights and Highland. The aim is “to maintain, if not elevate, the same level of service clients have come to expect from Aide Rental,” according to First Place Rental co-owners Sean Williams, president, and Brian Soares, vice president.  

By merging their inventory, the newly expanded rental company is able to offer a larger, more diverse lineup of equipment to customers in all three locations, according to a First Place Rental news release. Equipment is available for Aide customers to rent for an extended period at firstplacerental.com.

First Place Rental does plan to make some other changes, including:

• Creating a new, more user-friendly website. The goal is to launch the site this fall. Customers are encouraged to continue shopping at aiderentalsandsales.com during the interim.

• Phasing out party rental at the Aide Rental & Sales locations, allowing the new First Place Rental locations to focus their energy entirely on the equipment rental experience. 

“We believe that rental is about sharing equipment and knowledge with the community — making sure our customers have everything they need to succeed on whatever project they’re working on,” Williams said. “We're thankful for this opportunity to provide that service to South Chicago Heights and Highland.”
